Text messages from TRACE
Last updated: October 13, 2026
TRACE ("TRACE", "we", "us", or "our") runs addtrace.com and the TRACE app. This page explains which texts we send, how you agree to receive them, and how to stop them.
What we text
- Sign-in codes. A one-time code when you sign in or create an account. You ask for each one, and we send nothing else from that number.
- News and updates (marketing). Launch news and new features. Message frequency varies. Only if you opt in, as shown below.
We never sell your number, and we never text numbers from purchased or imported lists.
How you opt in to marketing texts
Marketing texts are opt-in only. When you create an account in the TRACE app or on addtrace.com, you'll see an unchecked box under your phone number:
Text me TRACE news and updates
with this on the same screen: "Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out."
Leave it unchecked and you can still create your account. You'll only get sign-in codes. If you check it, we record when you agreed.
In the TRACE app, at sign-up:

On addtrace.com, at sign-up:

Members who already have an account can turn marketing texts on or off at any time in Settings → Notifications → Marketing texts.
How to stop
- Reply STOP to any text from us to stop marketing texts. You'll get one text confirming it, and nothing after that.
- Reply HELP for help, or email help@addtrace.com.
- Or switch off Marketing texts in Settings.
Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
