How does TRACE work?

TRACE is a presale marketplace: you list a piece you want before you buy it, people call it to buy or rent it from you after you wear it, and every call lowers what you actually pay. When a call feels right, you lock it in, buy the piece, wear it, and ship it to your buyer.

Can I rent designer dresses on TRACE?

Yes. On TRACE you can rent designer dresses and other pieces for 7 days, for a fraction of the retail price, or buy them after one wear for less than retail. You rent from the person who listed the piece, and they ship it to you.

Is TRACE legit?

Yes. TRACE is a real marketplace with an iPhone app on the App Store. Every TRACE order is covered by buyer protection: the 10% + $3 fee pays for condition checks and dispute resolution, and if what arrives doesn’t match the listing, TRACE makes it right. Is there a TRACE app?

Yes. The TRACE app is free on the App Store for iPhone. Search for TRACE Presale Marketplace, or open addtrace.com/download on your phone. You can also browse and list on addtrace.com.

Can I sell something before I buy it?

Yes. That’s exactly what TRACE is for. You list the piece before you’ve spent anything, calls come in, and you know your real cost before you commit to buying. You can also list something you already own and haven’t worn yet.

What does it cost to list on TRACE?

Listing on TRACE is free, and sellers keep the full call amount. Buyers pay a 10% + $3 protection fee on top of their call, which covers condition checks and dispute resolution.

What’s the difference between buying and renting on TRACE?

Buying on TRACE means the caller owns the piece after you wear it once; renting means they borrow it for 7 days and ship it back, and you keep the piece to wear or list again. TRACE takes a 15% platform fee on rental income. Selling has no seller fee.

What if I change my mind about selling?

Calls on TRACE are non-binding until you accept one, so you can change your mind freely. If you fall in love with the piece, don’t lock anyone in and keep it. Once you accept a call, it’s locked for both sides.

How do I get paid on TRACE?

When delivery is complete and the inspection window closes without an open dispute, your earnings become Available in Payouts. Tap Cash out to send them to your connected payout account. Standard cash-outs are free and have no minimum. Payout timing can vary, and TRACE may temporarily hold a cash-out for account verification, suspected fraud, or payment issues.

How does shipping work on TRACE?

TRACE generates a prepaid shipping label for the lister’s shipment. You wear the piece, pack it, and drop it off, and tracking is shared with the caller automatically.

Is buying on TRACE safe?

Every TRACE transaction is covered by buyer protection: the 10% + $3 fee funds condition verification and dispute resolution, and if what arrives doesn’t match the listing, TRACE makes it right.

What stores does TRACE work with?

TRACE works on 200+ retailers, including Net-a-Porter, Revolve, SSENSE, Reformation, and Nordstrom. Just paste a product link at addtrace.com or in the app and TRACE pulls the details in.

Does TRACE track my browsing?

No. TRACE only reads the product links you choose to paste. It never monitors your browsing, and TRACE never sells user data.
